K1200LT Performance Software |

The
performance software for the K1200LT improves peak horsepower
and dramatically improves the bikes on and off road characteristics.
The chip is designed to enhance the stock and after-market exhaust
systems. There are 2 chips available based on the
year model of the bike. Generally the early chip is found
in bikes produced up to 8/99 and the late chip is 8/99 and later. We
have found several exceptions to that rule. Early control
units have been found in bikes produced as late as 07/00. If
your bike has a production date in the range of 8/99 or later,
we suggest that you provide us with the numbers that are on
the outside of the control unit. That way we can ship you the
correct
chip. Install our proprietary
software and you can expect more linear power production and
smoother acceleration. See the dyno charts
for performance comparisons. Specific software is required when a performance exhaust system is added to either the early or the late production K1200LT. When you order please be aware of this difference.

CAMSHAFT GEARS A performance option for the 2005 K1200LT will be released 6/01/05. This is a camshaft gear set that significantly improves midrange torque. That last statement bears repeating, SIGNIFICANTLY improves midrange torque. We are confident that the riders will be quite surprised at the difference.
